Do-it-yourself fun

I love Chevrolet.

Not really.

But I do love their new promotion for the 2007 Tahoe. You can make your own Tahoe love-fest commercial and submit it to win a bunch of shit that would make SUV owners everywhere drool (more than they normally do, anyway).

Or you can use the tools to make something more meaningful. It's ripe for subversive use. And it takes only a couple of minutes.

I am especially pleased with my creation. Pass it on.

I wonder if this guy will buy one. http://milwaukee.bizjournals.com/sanjose/stories/2006/04/10/daily41.html

Amazing. Assuming two weeks of vacation per year, this guy spends roughly 73 days -- almost 20% -- of every year commuting.

He says "this is the only solution." I just don't think he's trying hard enough.

He wastes a lot of money, too. If one uses $3/gallon as a baseline price, as I think it will be all summer, and assuming he has a car that gets fair gas mileage (23 mpg), he spends about $240/week on gas for his commute alone. That's a little over $12,000 a year. And it's only going to get more expensive.

I could do a lot of things with an extra 73 days and $12,000.
